meet the aguilars: fluttering... so it begins

last thursday i started feeling fluttering inside my belly. this isn't my first pregnancy so i knew that it was my baby kicking me and saying "hello mama". i got excited. it happened while i was at work so i couldn't share it with anyone... even though i did tell my manager last wednesday. i felt really bloated and heavy that day and thought i better tell her before other people start saying something. i talked to her about it, told her i'd like to keep it just between the two of us for a couple more weeks until i have a mitigation plan in place for the president regarding the project, and she was very understanding. i told her i will work until i go into labor and won't take a long maternity leave. she said that i was a real pleasure to work with and that many people at the company are very happy with me. she's glad that i'm happy there and even mentioned the possibility of permanent position there. so maybe i'll be able to convince them to let me work M-Th next year. we'll have to see....

i've been feeling fluttering almost daily since. it still kind of tickles. i can't feel it from the outside yet though. i'm glad i can feel my baby now. i can start building a connection with him... wonder what he looks like and what his personality will be. maki was an easy baby so i hope this baby isn't hard! but i can't imagine an easier baby - not sure that's possible. haha

papa has been working a lot lately too. he's been freelancing on top of his full-time job. he's got another one lined up after this. looks like this baby is giving us good luck already. we may be able to work on some house renovation projects before he arrives! :)
