last day of having a newborn

ezee turns 3 months tomorrow. he'll no longer be a newborn (although few say newborn only goes up to the first 28 days of life instead of up to 3 months). i am so sad... *sniff* my "bunso" (youngest child) is growing up too fast. although he's never really looked like a newborn because he is so big, he still acted like a newborn. ;) the first few months were very hard but looking back on it, i enjoyed it a lot because i was more relaxed about everything and already knew what to expect. i hate that i only had a couple of months at home with ezee... maybe i can do paid family leave later for another 6 weeks before he turns 1. we'll see... i love it when ezee wakes up. he smiles so much and he's starting to chuckle. such a happy baby... i love my boys' ages right now. i wish i could bottle this time up and remember it forever. someone stop the clock! i will hate it when my boys become teenagers and won't want anything to do with me. i will look back on maki's demands - sit here! mama hide! snack please! - and wish he would still say those things to me. i will miss ezee's spit up on my clothes, his pooplosions, the way he plays with my shirt while nursing (esp if i'm wearing silk on something very soft), how his hands are always closed and his toes curled, when he cries for me and needs me, how he kind of says "mam" when he's hungry, how he's comforted by just being near me, his peacefulness when he's asleep in my arms, his angelic face and adorable toothless smile... it's no wonder some people end up with 10 kids! but mik and i are stopping at 2. my last night with a newborn. *tear*
